Before the Ban: Matters to Them, Building Online Resilience in Younger Kids
Share
The social media ban is all anyone’s talking about right now. But here’s what’s not being talked about enough.
The kids this law protects right now aren’t the ones who need our attention most. It’s the 6 to 12 year olds in our homes and classrooms today, the ones who will eventually turn 13, 14, 15, and walk straight into everything the ban was designed to delay. If we spend these years waiting instead of preparing, we lose the exact window we had to make a real difference.
That’s exactly what this webinar is about.
Join Sharni, founder of The Koji Collective, for a live session on building genuine online resilience in younger kids, well before the ban ever becomes relevant to them. We’ll cover what’s actually changed under the new restrictions, the real, evidence-informed signs that show a child has genuine digital and emotional competence, how to build those skills now through conversation rather than restriction, and what to actually do next when a child opens up, including how to talk to a parent about a concern, professionally and sensitively.
This session is for parents, educators and practitioners who want practical, usable tools, not just theory.
When: Friday 2 October 2026, 12:00pm to 1:30pm AEDT
Where: Live via Microsoft Teams
Tickets: From $25, with options to add a card set to follow along live
